Today at 6am, Nintendo released a new announcement video showcasing what they have in store for the next few months. If you care to watch the whole 30 minute video, it is embedded below. If you are interested in just a few things and not broken english (sorry Iwata), then I'll be running down each announcement with a time stamp on the video if you are so inclined to watch it. 00:23 - First we have for the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors (tentative title). A mix of Dynasty Warriors and The Legend of Zelda. This was slated for next year.
02:33 - Next up is Kirby Triple Deluxe for the 3DS. The game has a 3D side scroller look to it and a new ability for Kirby to suck up everything on the screen. 2 extra modes, a versus mode which pits you against your friends but only using one of Kirby’s powers. the second mode is a rhythm game starring King Dedede. This title is slated for 2014. 05:40 - Third up is Yoshi's New Island for the 3DS. This game is being produced by the director of the original Yoshi’s Island. It’s look is similar to that of the original but with a 3D pop to it. This one is slated for a spring 2014 release. 07:26 - Next is Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder. Bringing back the little helper robot from the gamecube, you are now able to use the 3DS camera to find and take pictures of everyday items and transport into the game. This will release January 9th, 2014. 10:22 - Next was the Pokémon Bank and Poké Transporter. The Pokémon Bank is a place where you can see and play with all the Pokémon you’ve caught. The Pokémon Transporter will allow you to transport the Pokémon you’ve caught in Black & White 1 & 2 and transport them to X & Y. This will be available December 27. 12:16 - Reggie Fils-Aime announces Bravely Default. This is a new RPG for the 3DS that uses the streetpass feature pretty strongly. They talked about all 3 playable characters, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong and Cranky Kong. Cranky being new, uses his cane very similarly to Scrooge McDuck in the Ducktales NES game. 17:51 - DLC on the Wii U for Sonic Lost World was announced and it’s just a level based on Yoshi’s Island available now for free. They did hint to a Legend of Zelda level in February. 19:50 - Wii Sports Club announced this it now has golf. 22:40 - Next was NES Remix, A new downloadable collection of minigames for the Wii U, based on a bunch of NES games. Some mixed together like Link in Donkey Kong. This is available now. 24:31 - The last game in the year of Luigi is Dr. Luigi for Wii U. It’s very similar to Dr Mario except Luigi uses L shaped pills for a higher challenge. Call me a sucker for nostalgia but this trailer is exactly what I want from an American Godzilla film. This film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-ass 1 & 2) as Lieutenant Ford, Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as Scientist Joe Brody, Elizabeth Olsen (Oldboy, and soon to be Skarlett Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron) as Elle Brody, daughter of Joe Brody and Ford's girlfriend, and Ken Watanabe (Inception, Batman Begins) As Daisuke Serizawa. It's slated for a May 2014 release and I'll be first in line. So the VGX live stream is over, and boy what a show.
