-And then a fight between Reggie Fils-Aime and Satoru Iwata to announce mii fighters available in Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U -October 3rd release date announced for Super Smash Bros on 3DS -Amiibo announced as a similar device as Skylanders or Disney Infinity -Developers talk about Yoshi's Wooly World -Trailer for Captain Toad’s Treasure Tracker -New Legend of Zelda game first details shown -Trailer for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire -Trailer for Bayonetta 2 -Developers talk about Hyrule Warriors with release date, September 16th 2014 -Kirby and The Rainbow Curse announced -Trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles -Trailer for Mario Maker -Developers talk about new shooter, Splatoon -Palutina as playable character in Super Smash Bros -And what was clearly a blurred out Star Fox prototype on a screen behind Shigeru Miyamoto talking about working on some new games ended the digital event This was amazing, So much was shown that is unique or interesting. It looks like Nintendo wants to give players more content rather than the same content over and over again. As some titles shown are better versions of previous games, they were different enough to be exciting. The downside to the digital event were the extended developer discussions on a couple of games, its great to hear from a developer on a title that you are excited for but these had a tendency to go on too long. Nintendo needed this conference and I sincerely hope they sell a ton of consoles with no only the games shown during the event but the games announced in the days to come. 9 outta 10. -Gregg Dietz (@ChubRockGeek)

Sony brought all the cards to the table. When Sony makes it clear that they want people to play together anyway possible, they mean it. Allowing others to play co-op without having the game or bringing older user content to the newer version means that sony is listening to the gamers. Bringing the old library of titles to gamers anyway they can is fantastic. The downside to the conference was that they concentrated on the Sony TV for far too long and it was a major lull in the streamroll that was the rest of the show. 9 outta 10 -Gregg Dietz (@ChubRockGeek) -Far Cry 4 starts off the show with a cinematic gameplay trailer

They had a lot of gameplay footage which is what we want from a conference. A lot of the games were incredible to see and looked great. The downsides were that some of the games burned too much of the stage time and I would have liked to see more from other franchises. Aisha Tyler wasn’t as annoying as she had been in previous years so thats a plus. 8 outta 10 -Gregg Dietz (@ChubRockGeek) -The show starts up with the developer studio for Star Wars Battlefront

Spent a large amount of time talking about their sports titles. They did have a couple of surprises with a new Criterion IP, Mirrors Edge 2 and Battlefield Hardline but overall a relatively mediocre conference. 5 outta 10. -Gregg Dietz (@ChubRockGeek) -First up is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare with the news that Xbox owners will be the first to get DLC

Say what you will about Microsoft but they have quite a few very exciting games to be released in the next year. Im was both delighted and impressed with how everything was presented during this conference compared to the last few years, Nintendo and Sony will have a tough show to compete with. I give it a 9 outta 10. -Gregg Dietz (@ChubRockGeek) |
