-written by Anthony Beanes It is one of the most sought after conventions with the likes of Dragoncon, PAX, and San Diego Comic Con. Blizzard announced today the price, and date of it's upcoming convention in November. Tickets go on sale on April 15th and 18th both at separate times. On April 15th tickets for Blizzcon will go on sale at 7 A.M PST. On April 18th tickets will go on sale at 10 A.M. PST to give those who were not able to purchase a ticket, can get another shot of getting at buying a ticket for this year's con. Price for purchasing a ticket attending the convention is set at $200, which includes:
"An email containing a bar code to claim your badge will be sent immediately upon purchase. All tickets will be sent to both the purchaser’s email address as well as the email address assigned to a ticket. IMPORTANT! Each attendee must print the email containing their bar code and bring it to BlizzCon, along with valid photo ID, in order to receive a badge. The name on the bar code email *must* match the name on your photo ID." Also Blizzard has full instructions on the process of buying a badge here. In that page explains from the start of buying a badge to when you check out at the very end. So from reading what has been listed on the website, it seems that Blizzcon is using the very same system as San Diego Comic Con, and PAX to purchase badges. So while it is listed for both days 200$ there may be a chance eager con goers not be able to buy on before it sold out. The alternative solution for people who are unable to buy a badge for Blizzcon, Blizzard is offering is the online stream access of for $40. Details of what people can get when ordering the virtual ticket for Blizzcon has not been announced yet at this time. -written by Anthony Beanes Developing story...
Late last night Director James Gunn, who directed last year's Guardians of the Galaxy movie, was spotted on facebook commenting that Marvel will be not be present at this year's San Diego Comic Con. When a fan asked him about Marvel's presence for this year's San Diego Comic Con, he said: “I’m not sure. Marvel isn’t going so I’m not sure I will either.” He later on went on to say on his twitter to defend his statements, "guys, he could be lying” I have never lied about anything to the fans, ever." Marvel has been a main staple at San Diego Comic Con for years, and this would be the first time in a long time that Marvel will not attend this year's San Diego Comic Con. Eailer this year Marvel had a press conference announcing the movies Marvel Studios is working on for the coming years. This was a private event that Marvel invited the press, friends, and family for the announcements at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood. With all the announcements Marvel has shown with the upcoming films, it does beg the question if not attending San Diego Comic Con means that there is nothing to show right now. We have reached out for comment to both James Gunn, and Marvel on this matter. We will update this story once we have a comment, and confirmation of Marvel not attending this year's San Diego Comic Con. source:facebook comment , twitter |
